Ogbonna Uchechi Constance (born May 25th), also known as Ifebuche, is a talented and beautiful Nigerian actress. She hails from Imo state and has gained popularity through her impressive performances in the Nigerian movie industry. Ifebuche has worked alongside some of the industry’s bigwigs, cementing her status as a rising star in Nollywood.

Early Life & Education

Ifebuche was born in Uba Agwa, Oguta Local government in Imo state but was raised in Lagos by her parents Mr. Caleb O. Ogbonna and Late Mrs Beatrice Ogbonna. She has a younger brother. She had her Primary, Secondary and University all in Lagos state and graduated with B.A English from the National Open University Of Nigeria.

Ifebuche’s love for acting started at a young age when she joined the Teens drama group in her church. She moved from the Teens drama to “The Joel’s Company Theatre group” in Canaanland,in the year 2000.

In 2004 she was part of an acting group called “Changing Faces”, where she won “The Most Prestigious” award for the most talented actress. She has since then been horning her skills in acting and working with several Nollywood stars and featuring in Movies , TV series and Stage plays.

She is inspired by the famous and prominent Nigerian actress Joke Silva and the black American actress Viola Davis.

Recently, Ifebuche graduated from Derwin Film Academy, where she studied Film/TV Production and Cinematography.

Career

Ifebuche has been actively involved in the acting industry since a young age. She has appeared in several soap operas, including “Scrupples” directed by Fred Edike in 2005, “Happy Family” produced by Elvis Chuks, and “Road to Stardom” by Hadunni Entertainment, among others.

Ifebuche has also acted in several of Best Okoduwa‘s films, including “Beckma,” “Withered,” and “The Fourth Party,” among others. She has also worked with the African Magic Original Film (AMOF).

As a stage actress, Ifebuche has performed in different states in Nigeria, including Abuja, PH, Enugu, Benin, Ilorin, Akure, and Shagamu, as well as some universities in Nigeria, such as Babcock University and Bells University in Ogun state.

Currently, Ifebuche is a member of The Fourth Party PlayHouse in Lagos and has appeared in their productions, including “Roll of Dice,” “Pinch of Salt,” “Tale of the Crab,” “Against The Wind,” and many others.

Award & Nomination

  • Award of Excellence given by Builders Youth Forum in 2006 for her Voluntary work at Little Saints Orphanage.
  • Award for Humanitarian service, given by People of Power Ministry for her Voluntary support at Ijamido Children’s Home, Ota Ogun State.

Personal Life 

Ifebuche is single for now but looks forward to getting married and having a beautiful family with her husband and children. In a recent live interview with TimzTell, She recounted her first visit to Little Saints Orphanage on June 4th, 2002 , and how that kick-started her Volunteering in Orphanage homes till date.

She volunteered as a dance instructor, music, and drama teacher at Little Saints and Ijamido Children’s Home, among other places. Her dedication has earned her recognition, including two awards from the Builders Youth Forum in 2006 and another from People of Power Ministry in 2012

Her late mother was a great influence and support to her ministry to the less privileged. Few years ago Ifebuche registered an NGO in her late Mother’s name, Beatrice Onuawuchi Foundation, which is committed to assisting the less privileged.

Despite over 20 years of volunteering at orphanages, she has no plans to stop and She is even more eager to reach out to more individuals and organizations to make a difference in the world.

Ifebuche is a member of Lagos Peace Club and has been of great help in mentoring teenagers through the Early Start Project of the club…

She’s also a member of the Voluntary Work camp Association of Nigeria (Vwan), and have had the privilege of representing the organization as one of the 2 participants from Nigeria, in a Job Shadowing Peace Building Project tagged ” Building Inclusive Paths” in Rome, Italy by CCIVS in 2016. The project had representatives from almost all continents.
