She began appearing on various radio stations in Boston, capturing the attention of industry professionals. This led to her signing with the Ep Entertainment imprint, in collaboration with Def Jam Recordings, for distribution.
Undeterred by the early success, Alessia embarked on a bold endeavor by working on her debut studio album. In February 2015, she released her official debut single titled “HERE,” a powerful composition produced by Pop & Oak and Sebastian Kole.
The song quickly garnered attention and acclaim, catching the ears of music enthusiasts. Spin hailed it as a can’t-miss track, while Cosmopolitan listed it as a must-hear song. Complex Magazine even recognized it as the best Canadian song in April, and by the end of 2015, it secured the 21st spot on the prestigious list of the year’s top 50 songs.
On June 1, 2018, she was honored with the Best New Artist award at the Grammy Awards, a testament to her rising star. Fueling her momentum, she continued releasing captivating singles showcasing her growth as an artist. “GROWING PAINS” was announced on June 1 and released on November 30. “A LITTLE MORE” followed on July 11, while “TRUST MY LONELY” was unveiled on October 5.
