Biography

Christie Quincyna Quarcoopome (born May 3, 1996) is professionally known as Cina Soul. She’s a known Ghanaian singer and songwriter born and raised in Accra.

Cina is best recognized for her songs like ‘Killi Mi,’ and she’s a finalist at the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Icons competition held in Accra, Ghana.

Early Life

Cina is a native of the ‘Ga Tribe’ born in Kokomlemle, Accra. She hails from Jamestown, Accra.

Cina happens to be the second child of her parent’s three children. She has a younger and an elder sister, both talented songsters. A gift they might have inherited from their father.

Growing up as a music lover, she was inspired by Baker, Brandy, Sade, Aretha Franklin, Aṣa, and Whitney Houston.

She began making songs and covers to some popular songs.

She has grown to become a sensation in the music industry.

Education

Cina attended Deyoungsters International School for her Junior secondary school and Aburi Girls Senior High School for her senior secondary education.

She further attended the University of Ghana for her tertiary education, studying psychology and archaeology.

Career

Cina’s career as a music artist was discovered during her participation in the Vodafone Ghana Music Icons in 2014 and her emerging as a finalist. 

After the event, Cina began making covers for some popular songs and freestyling.

In 2016, Cina released her debut EP, Metanoia. The EP features some famous celebs like M.anifest, Worlasi, and KiDi.

She came to stardom with ‘Awo’ and ‘Julor,’ her single off the album. She was able to earn herself a spot in the industry.

Cina was a massive contribution to the Black Girls Glow Project launched by Dzyadzorm and Poetra Asantewa in 2017.

She was signed into the Universal Music Group in Nigeria after her single titled ’00:01′ in 2018.

In 2019, Cina released another record titled ’12:01′ under her new record label.

She released her second recording in August 2019, performing in her native ‘Ga’ Dialect. It was titled ‘Adukwei‘ and produced by Nii Quaye. It was recorded ahead of the 2019 edition of the Homowo festival, a festival celebrated by the Ga people of Ghana.

Personal Life

The 26years Killi Mi crooner was born in Accra, Ghana.

She is currently in a relationship, but in her interview, she mentioned that Her Boyfriend has decided their relationship to be on the low and does not want too much attention attracted to him.

She was rumored to be in a relationship with a prominent Ghanaian artiste, KiDi.

The two have been spotted kissing passionately in KiDi’s‘ Sugar’ video.

While some believe there’s nothing between the two, some other Ghanaian strongly believe they are in a relationship.

Although, Cina has publicly refuted the rumor and claimed that She and KiDi are good friends who love each other company.
