She gained widespread recognition after the release of her debut song titled “Watch My Thing Go.” The song received massive acclaim from critics and was nominated for the “Most Promising Female Act to watch at the 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.“
Early Life & Education
Lola Rae, born on January 20, 1991, in Obalende, Lagos, had a unique background: the offspring of a British-Nigerian father and a Ghanaian mother.
She received her formative education at St. Saviour’s School in Ikoyi and Lekki British International High School in Lagos, sharpening her academic talents and passions.”.
At the age of 15, Lola Rae embarked on a life-changing journey to England to pursue her passion for fashion textiles at the esteemed Central Saint Martins, where she completed her studies in the field.
Career
Lola Rae‘s journey in the world of entertainment dates back to 2010 when she stepped into the limelight as a part of the electrifying dance troupe, “Mystikal.” Her remarkable moves and grooves caught the judges’ attention in the prestigious talent show Britain’s Got Talent, where the Mystikal dancing group had the privilege to showcase their skills.
However, despite their memorable performance, the group was eliminated in the semi-finals and had to be eliminated by the panel led by famous judge Simon Cowell.
Undeterred by the setback, Lola Rae took her musical prowess to the next level by releasing her debut single, “Watch My Thing Go,” on November 19, 2012. The song was an instant hit, setting the tone for her musical journey. She followed it up with another chart-topping track, “High,” that further cemented her position as a talented artist.

Personal Life
Lola has been in a longtime relationship with a Nigerian Music star, Augustine Miles Kelechi, popularly recognized as Tekno Miles.
The two welcomed their first baby in May 2018. Tekno later took to his Instagram page to announce that he was happy to become the father of a beautiful baby girl to his longtime girlfriend.
