Alex Edelman (born March 20, 1989) is a talented American stand-up comedian who gained early success in the UK and was awarded Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2014. He has performed three successful shows, including Millennial (2014-2015), Everything Handed to You (2015-2016), and Just for Us (2018-2020). Early Life & Education
Alex Edelman was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, to Cheryl, a real estate lawyer, and Elazer R. Edelman, a biomedical engineer, cardiologist, and professor. Growing up, he worked as a fan for the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers baseball teams and began performing stand-up comedy at age 15.
After graduating high school, Alex spent a year in a yeshiva in Jerusalem, where he was one of the founders of the city’s first comedy club, “Off the Wall Comedy.” He moved to New York City in 2008 to attend New York University, where he studied English and continued performing stand-up comedy.
Alex‘s career took off when he won Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2014, and he has since gone on to perform successful shows in the UK, Australia, and the US. Despite his success, Alex remains grounded and dedicated to his career.
