Chidozie Godsfavour (born March 13, 2000), popularly known as FaveSZN, is one of the fast-rising Nigerian artists. She is a singer and songwriter. 

She hails from the Southeastern part of Nigeria, Anambra state. She came into the Limelight after she released her single ‘Baby Riddim.’

Early Life

The 22 years old Afro-star was born and raised in Anambra, the southeastern part of Nigeria, alongside her siblings.

She grew up under the care of her Christian parent, who had always been skeptical of her going into music instead of taking her education more seriously.

Fave grew up with the love of music at her heart, she had a sonorous voice, and her sound was so unique that even her parent couldn’t negate the fact that she was musically inclined.

At a significantly younger age, Fave began exhibiting her talent as a singer and was recommended by her parent to join the church choir.

She joined the church choir and served the Lord. A few years later, she discovered herself as a great entertainer, but her parent was not permitting her to hop into the studio to make a record. 

At 19, she was very ready and prepared but still wasn’t allowed in the studio, so she surfed the Internet for some free beats until she found one made by one Nigerian artist and record producer, Jinmi Abduls. She only made a freestyle on it, tagged it M.O.M.M.S. (Me Or Mask My Sin), and released it on her Twitter page. She started trending on the Internet, Twitter, and Instagram precisely. She followed the song up with another single release, N.B.U. (Nobody But U, and with that, She became a sensationalistic artist on social media. Her major source of inspiration in music are artists like P-Square, Adele, and Wande coal in the music industry.

Education

Fave spent her formative years in the Eastern part, where she grew up attending her primary and secondary education. She’s currently an understudy at an esteemed university in Nigeria, Precisely Osun state.

Career

Fave began her music career at a tender age, joining the church choir to serve God.

As she grew older, she began penning her own songs and would thrill and amuse her classmates. 

Her music was greatly inspired by Adele, who happens to be her most respected artist. She is also being inspired by some of the Nigerian bigwig artists. 

The young star first gained popularity on social media after releasing her first song, ‘M.O.M.M.S.’ (Me Or Mask My Sin), which came about as a freestyle after surfing the net and discovering a beat by ‘Jinmi Abduls‘ one of Nigeria artists and a producer.

The song majorly grew on social media. Her sound and style of music were appreciated, but her limited fanbase made her pieces not soar so high.

She made another release, ‘N.B.U‘ (Nobody But U), on April 17,2020. 

N.B.U. Became Her breakthrough song which helped her garner a huge fanbase on social media.

Anyone who eventually came across her song became a fan.

She dropped her debut E.P. ‘Anywhere But Here‘ on April 7, 2020. 

She became a stupendous artist after her single ‘Beautifully‘ was released on May 2021.

Beautifully‘ became a success and a massive hit song across the country. 

Her talent became unhidden as she was popularly recognized by some prominent Nigerian artists like Don Jazzy, Olamide, and others.

As the new generational artist, She has been projected to carry on the legacies laid down by some of the top Nigerian female artists like Asa, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, and others.

She was featured on Olamide‘s 12th studio album ‘U.Y. S.C.U.T.I.’ with two tracks.

Fave mentioned, She got noticed by Olamide through her online freestyle videos and was invited to the studio.

 Fortunately, she walked in while Olamide was recording ‘Ponpon,’ and He asked her to jump in. They remade the song with her again all over.

She further released ‘Baby Riddim later that year on September 2021. and it became a great hit making her one of the most sought female artists.

Personal Life

Fave is currently a student of a prestigious Nigerian university.

She is unmarried and has not disclosed her boyfriend as she tends to keep her romantic life private.

She has other siblings but yet disclosed them, but they’re all doing well in their various fields.

Fave is currently signed to “EmpawA.” 

She stated that the ‘SZN‘ is added to her name due to social media policy and that her name is Fave
