Christine Diane Teigen (born November 30, 1985) is an American Model professionally known as Chrissy Teigen.
She’s a model, TV and social media personality.
She gained prominence after her appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010 and for Modeling for some top brands.
Early Life
Chrissy was born in Delta, Utah, in 1985. Growing up alongside her older half-sister, Tina Teigen, in the family of Mr. Ron Teigen Sr. and Mrs. Vilailuck Teigen, also recognized as ‘Pepper‘ from Thailand.
She grew up spending her formative years in Snohomish, Washington, where her father ran a tavern.
At age 15, she relocated to California with her family, while her mother moved to Thailand afterward.
Closing up to 18 years while working with a surf shop in California, she got her first modeling campaign through some of the shop clients, where she was introduced to Modeling and began modeling for brands like Billabong. There, she got discovered by a photographer.
During her interview session with ‘The Daily Beast,’ she mentioned that she had never thought of ever becoming a model but wanted to be either a teacher or involved in a food business.
Career
After modeling for some recognized brands, she gained her first eminence after featuring in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and was tagged ‘Rookie of the Year.’ She later appeared on the 50th anniversary cover alongside Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge in 2014.
Chrissy had appeared in various brands, including Gillette, Olay, Nike, and the Mercedes Benz fashion week, and also appeared as a featured character on the Electronic Arts video game, Need for speed, in 2011.
She was featured in a cooking channel titled, Cookies and Cocktails.
In October 2013, she featured in John Legend‘s song, All Of Me.
In April 2015, She became a cohost at the musical competition series Lip Sync Battle alongside LL Cool J.
She was again featured in another cooking channel titled Teigen’s Hungry.
In 2011, Chrissy decided to step out of Modeling alone to branch her career to what she had always wanted to do.
She started a blog, So Delushious, where she shares her recipes and opinions.

In 2016, Chrissy published her book of recipes, Recipes for All of the Food You Want to Eat. The book became a New York bestseller and was listed as the second bestselling cookbook of the year.
In 2017, she started a clothing line in collaboration with the fashion company Revolve.
She released her second book, Cravings: Hungry For More, in September 2018.
She was listed on Time’s List of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2019 and also started a YouTube channel in 2019. The channel consists of family cooking content and tutorials featuring Teigen, her mother, her husband, and two children.
She starred in a courtroom series that debuted on Quibi in 2020. She served as the executive producer for the series. The third series is scheduled to be premiered on October 2022.

Personal Life
The 37 years old American grew up under the care of her Thailand mom, Vilailuck Teigen, and Mr. Ron Teigen Sr, an American of Norwegian descent.
Chrissy is currently married to singer John Legend.
She became engaged in December 2011 after dating for four years. They finally got married in September 2013 in Italy.
John and Chrissy met in 2016 while John was filming the music video for his song, Stereo.
She got a song titled ‘All Of Me‘ dedicated to her by her husband.
The couple is blessed with two kids, a girl born on April 2016 and a son born on May 2018.
Chrissy announced on her Instagram page on August 3, 2022, that she is expecting her third child.
